Join us for the 446 km Coast-to-Coast Challenge!
One WEEK to cover 446 km OR one DAY to accomplish as many kms as possible for your region!
Come and enjoy the great outdoors as part of our Coast-to-Coast Challenge in Autumn 2024. SU runs chaplaincy services in Tasmania across a distance of 446 kilometres: from Woodbridge on the south coast, to Smithton in the north west, and many localities in between. We are inviting individuals or groups to get sponsored and cover all or part of a distance through walking, cycling, running, or swimming. Anyone can support the challenge by participating or sponsoring. All donations go towards SU. Why not get your school, church or community group involved?

Which of the three teams - south, north, or northwest - will cover the largest number of kms during the Coast-to-Coast Challenge WEEK between the 19 th and the 26 th of May AND on the Coast-to-Coast Challenge DAY on 2-4 pm, followed with a BBQ, and an announcement of results
During the week Sunday 19 to 26 of May, run, cycle, walk, swim, roller skate as an individual or in a team in your own time as many km towards the overall distance of 446km starting between the 19 th and 26 th of May 2024! Can you or your team manage the entire distance in one week?
On the Coast-to-Coast Challenge Day on Saturday 25 th of May, there will be a set course in Bellerive, Launceston, and Ulverstone. You can run or walk, and children may use their bicycles, and each km accomplished will be added to a total regional tally. The BBQ will commence shortly after 12 noon, and we will announce the winning region shortly afterwards.
Please, note, this is a fundraiser for SU Australia in Tasmania and you are encouraged to find sponsors for each km you walk, run, swim, or cycle or pledge a small amount for each km covered themselves.
