Privacy

Protecting your privacy is important to us. The information we seek allows us to manage risk, provide reasonable care, and administrate your involvement in our program. We are careful to keep your information confidential and provide it only to those agents acting on behalf of SU QLD who need it to enable them to perform their agreed activities (e.g. First Aid officer). We will not use your information for other purposes. We only ask for information that is necessary for the purposes outlined in this statement. In some circumstances, if you don’t provide us with all requested information you could miss the opportunity to be involved in our program.

Registration

On rare occasions, an Event may need to be cancelled for reasons beyond our control (eg: low enrolment, matters of safety and care, etc.). In these situations, we will organise a refund.

Bookings cannot be made over the telephone, though enquiries are most welcome.

SU Qld may withhold a late cancellation fee.

SU Qld reserves the right to reject applications.

You will receive a new current year Jersey for the Cycle for Hope 2022 ride if you:

Have paid the $100 registration fee before the 11th April (jersey order placement date) and achieved the $100 fundraising before the rider briefing, the day before the ride.

Please remember that the minimum registration fee is $100 up front and a minimum of $100 fundraising, to be able to enter the ride (the fundraising part will be explained in detail further on in this registration)

The jersey order has already been placed (11th April) but we have ordered several extras in the common sizes, so you may still be lucky. You can still register and participate in the ride, so include your size in case there is still a jersey available. However, please realise you may have missed out on the jersey this year."

Ride Speed Event Information

Cycle for Hope will cover this year a distance of 145 km. It is a beautiful ride.

For the quickest riders, we added 30km, totalling 175km.

Please note that pack leaders can re-arrange riders into different packs up to their observations, to make sure all riders are in the packs suitable for their speed.

Kuranda Range

Can you, and do you want to ride the Kuranda Range?

For safety reasons, we want to make sure that only riders who are capable of riding the range without stopping, will be on the range.

If you are not sure; if you can ride the first 8.5km of the Copperlode Dam within 50 minutes, you should be well capable of riding the Kuranda Range.
