Yes, the use of this system and particularly the Champion Your Chappy campaign is completely optional. We simply wanted to provide an initial campaign to help LCCs raise funds for their Chaplain’s days in the school.
Yes, if you visit the downloads section of the fundraising portal, you will find flyers, social tiles and of offline donation forms available to help promote your campaign.
Donations (minus the fees) are deposited to SU QLD each fortnight. We then allocate the donations to your LCC fund. It may take up to 72 hours from the time the funds are deposited to you seeing that donation in your financial reports.
Yes, there are fees for taking donations through the everydayhero platform. However, everydayhero tell us that 70% of donors check the box to cover the fees when they donate.
- Gifts given via the peer-to-peer fundraising module - 5.95% of the donation
- Gifts given via the appeals module (i.e. direct donations via the Donate button) - 3.95% of the donation
SU QLD pays the membership fees to use everydayhero and the cost of building out the custom layer on the everydayhero platform. These costs are not passed on to LCCs.

Yes, all donations made to Local Chaplaincy Committee via this campaign are tax-deductible.
